God rather than Man…

God is the source and the strength of our lives. He moves all pain, fear and doubt. He promises leads us and never to leave us. So, ladies I ask you why do we tend to put other men before GOD? He is supposed to be the #1 man in our lives. The bible say; put not man before God. How do we put other men before GOD? Example;

1. When we are in love with someone. ( we go absolutely insane) .

     a. That man is the first and last person we talk to on the phone

     b. We think about this man all day long

     c. We just wanna be with that person 24/7.

Now ya’ll tell me is this putting a man before GOD?  Of course. You see , God can be a jealous God. He does not want us to put anyone before him . God wants us to be: The first one we talk to in the morning, the one who stays on our mind daily, and he wants us to enter in his presence with praise. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

By experience when you have Jesus on your mind daily he reveals the truth and light in your circumstances. I was dating someone a couple of years ago who I absolutely loved. I thought he was my everything. I could talk to him about any and everything. We were inseparable. Now, I would have to admit that I put so much time and energy into this relationship. I sometimes forgot to read my bible, pray or even talk to God because I was so involved in this man. Eventually, it became draining and depressing. One day I decided to wake up early one morning to cry out to God. I was feeling very low the day before. My cry out to God was simple sign for help. I needed him to come and save me from this relationship and from myself. Sometimes in life we tend to lose sight of how powerful God is.- Not just by his many blessings but by his never failing love. Even when we put a man before him he still forgive us and loves us unconditionally. No man can do all the Jesus can do. So I challenged my queens out there to focus on God. If you are in a relationship make sure God comes first before your man. Let him have a front seat at your concert called life.

He wants your full attention because we were created to worship him daily. Don’t forget to put God first.

Prayer to God:

Dear God,

Thank you lord for your love. Lord, interrupt me with your divine presence and keep my mind focused on your word. I recognize that I can do nothing without you. Everything starts and ends with you. Before you can abide in me, I must abide in you. No matter how crazy things get or how busy I may be, I must make time for you. Keep me ever so mindful of my mission and obedient to your teachings. I do not want to miss out on what you have in store for me.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen

Let’s talk about Sex!

Well, I did some soul searching everyone and I have determined that sex- fornication [engaging in sexual activity with a person outside the communication of marriage] is a sin against your own body.  The bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:13; ” Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.” I enjoyed sexual acts for a long time but now I realize that it was my way of trying to grab fulfillment from somewhere.  God is definitely equipping me and shaping me into the woman that he has called me to be. Trust me honey, it is not easy to admit to a problem or struggle and recognizing the change that needs to be made. Knowing there is a problem makes you want to break down and cry for your soul to be renewed and cleansed.

If only I would have known the significance if staying pure {remaining a virgin} back when I was 18 years old! I consistently remembered my mother telling me to ” wait until marriage” however, I never understood why that was important. Now, there is no one to blame here because I knew what I was doing at the age of 18. I wanted to have sex. Everyone was talking about it, dreaming about it and was doing it. lol — “it was a natural thing” “just make sure you use a condom if you are going to do it.” I had to find things out my way, but God had a plan and he knew where I was going.

So here I am – I am learning to “Flee from sexual immorality” For every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. [1 Corinthians 6:18] What this means is that your body is now contaminated. Physically, it can reap emotional distress that leads to clouding your judgement. Once you comprehend that your body is a temple to God, you will understand that you should always glorify him in your body and in your spirit. Remember we were bought a price and I thank him everyday for what he did for us. He died for our sins so we can be restored and forgiven for the sins that we commit among ourselves. To God be the glory for that!

I will leave you with a scripture that had totally changed my life. ” But I say to the unmarried and to the widows; It is good for them if they remain even as I am; but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry.  For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” ( 1 Corinthians 7:8-9)

Prayer to God:

“Father God, forgive me and heal me from the sexual sins which have kept me separated from your love. Help me to recognized and accept the power Jesus offers to restore me to wholeness. Help me to be meek and humble that I will flee from all influences which cause me to sin. Thank you Lord for what you are doing in my life. Strengthen me oh God with your holy and powerful word.  Amen

Self- Worth

You must know how to love yourself before you can love anything else. Knowing that having self worth is the greatest accomplishment any human being can have. You must know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14)  He made us in his image; so that we must know who we are and what we are worth. Sometimes we doubt our self worth/ love in the relationships — whether with our family members, friends, or significant others. We get caught up in the world, the social media today because so many things can influence you. Insecurities of your image – thinking you are too big or too skinny. Then you have these doubts that you aren’t good enough. You aren’t smart enough — to start your own business, to audition for that role , become a mother. But at the end the of the day…. You can do all things through Christ!!!

YOU are who God made you. No matter what you look like. You are beautiful inside and out. The biggest challenge is knowing and believing it for yourself!

Believe it !!
